This notice explains how HeyCovered handles information you provide through this website. HeyCovered is an insurance referral service for people in Canada and the United States.
Information you provide
When you submit a request, we collect your name, email address, phone number, country, province or state, postal or ZIP code, insurance category, timing and any details you choose to include. We record your consent choices and when your request was submitted. Please do not submit medical records, payment information or government identification numbers.
How we use it
We use your information to review and manage your request, communicate with you about it, and help connect you with insurance professionals. We may also use limited technical information to protect the website against misuse and understand which page or campaign led to a request.
Sharing your request
With the consent you give on our form, we may share the information you submit with insurance professionals whose services may fit your request. Those professionals use their own privacy policies when they contact you or handle a policy application. We also use hosting, database and email service providers to operate this website and manage requests.
Optional marketing
Consent to receive general email tips or updates is separate from consent to follow up about your request. The marketing checkbox is optional and unchecked by default. You can opt out through an unsubscribe option in a marketing email, or by replying to ask us to stop.
Security and retention
We restrict access to lead information to authorized users and service providers. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain request information as needed to handle the request, maintain business records and meet applicable obligations.
Your choices
You can choose not to submit a request. If we or an insurance professional contact you, you can reply to request access to or correction of the information you submitted, ask for deletion, or withdraw consent to further contact. Rights and exceptions depend on your location and applicable law. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that has already happened.
Technical storage and service providers
The public request form keeps your answers in the current page while you complete it. We do not store your contact details in browser local storage or in the page URL. Staff sign-in uses authentication cookies. Infrastructure providers may process information outside your province, state or country, including in the United States.
Advertising measurement
Our public pages use Meta Pixel to measure page visits and completed requests and help assess advertising performance. Meta may receive page URLs, browser and device information, IP addresses and cookie identifiers, and may associate these events with a Meta account under its own privacy policy. We do not include your submitted name, email, phone number or request details in our pixel events. The pixel is not loaded in the private staff workspace. You can manage advertising preferences through Meta and limit tracking through your browser settings.
Children
This service is intended for adults. Please do not submit personal information about children through the request form.
Updates and questions
We may update this notice as the service changes. The effective date above identifies this version. For a question about an existing request, reply to the HeyCovered communication you receive and include your request reference.
